Which fortune shall we see, meow?
What is Tarot?
Tarot is a symbolic system of 78 illustrated cards: the 22 Major Arcana, which trace the grand arcs of life, and the 56 Minor Arcana, which capture its everyday scenes across four suits. Born in fifteenth-century Italy as a card game, tarot was reimagined in the eighteenth century as a language of symbols. Today it is loved less as fortune-telling and more as a tool for reflection โ a deck of mirrors rather than a crystal ball.
The moment you hold a card and ask, "What part of my life is this picture reflecting right now?", scattered thoughts settle into a single scene. That is why people have kept spreading these cards for over five hundred years. MysticPaws brings that old pleasure to everyone with Mysticat, a mystical cat fortune-teller. Every illustration and interpretation on this site was made just for it, following the Rider-Waite tradition that has been the standard since 1909.
How to use this site
- Settle on one question. Something light works best โ "What mindset should I carry through today?"
- Pick a mode above and draw. Choose "Card of the Day" for a daily one-card reading, or "Past ยท Present ยท Future" for a three-card look at how things are flowing. The full 78-card deck can be spread as a grid, a fan, or a quick 22-card deal.
- Connect the keywords to your own situation. Rather than taking the text literally, translate it: "'Patience'โฆ where am I rushing things right now?"
- Dig deeper if you're curious. Our card library covers all 78 cards with upright and reversed meanings (currently in Korean โ browse it here).
Everything here is free, with no sign-up. Your draws are never sent to a server or stored anywhere โ only your theme preference is saved, in your own browser. These readings are for fun and reflection; for big decisions about health, money, or the law, please talk to a real-world professional. Fortunes are hints โ life goes wherever the paws go. ๐พ
